Lux Lisbon are an English Rock and Roll band (other bands are available) – but more specifically Lux Lisbon are the band that Wings could have been. We sing songs that are mostly epic widescreen indie-rock rubbish taking their cues from songs what we reckon are well good (and also from some bits of songs what are not well good). Often it would seem that this manifests itself as bittersweet love stories are set to soaring melodies, boy-girl harmony, clarion-call guitar, piano and violin.

As bands are wont to do we are going to try and impress your bored faces by writing some tedious, empty words like these :- Blah blah blah ’We have recently played at Camden Crawl 2011 and Dot to Dot Festival in Nottingham, we have played headline sets at Proud Galleries, Cargo, The Fly, The Metro, Bull and Gate, Waters Rats, Zigfrid Von Underbelly, 229 and played Stealth/Rescue Rooms/Bodega Social in Nottingam. We’ve attracted a number of plays on BBC Radio, specifically 6 Music (“Lux Lisbon are damn fine, they are quickly becoming favourites here”) and have had 4 number one ‘hits’ on established music blog/chart http://www.thesixtyone.com – we also seem to have accumulated over 100,000 myspace plays and 19,000 myspace friends for what that is worth. Which of course, is nothing’
Anyway – as Uncle Walt Whitman said ‘If you’ve done it, it ain’t bragging’ – and Walt was right – cos we’ve done all that, and telling you really isn’t bragging. Well done Walt.
